Friday morning coffee and another connection made in the community. This morning I had the pleasure of meeting the Chief Executive Officer for the Tacoma-Pierce County chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Maureen Fife was gracious enough to meet with me to discuss the changes that have happened in the local human services arena. It was great to discover so many mutual connections and hear about the great work that Habitat for Humanity is doing in my community.
I am looking forward to continuing to meet new people as I strike out on this new venture, and just as excited to reconnect with people from my human services employment and volunteer past. As the camp song goes, "make new friends, but keep the old; one is silver and the other gold".
